See what Home Depot has in store for Lincoln Park shoppers tonight, Wednesday, April 16, at "Neighborhood Night" from 6 to 10 p.m., at 2665 N. Halsted St.
Lincoln Park was selected to be home to this new urban neighborhood store concept and the first two-story location in Home Depot history. Highlighted by floor to ceiling windows and an interior escalator, this Home Depot was built from the ground up to fit the needs of Lincoln Park customers. Inside, shoppers will find a unique mix of products geared toward urban living and Lincoln Park consumers specifically. More than 185 associates will be on hand to serve customers.
Home Depot prides itself on being an active and involved neighbor, working to improve the local community. Last year alone, Home Depot associates volunteered more than six million hours of their own time to help the people in their communities. No other company's employees volunteered more time in 2002.
Home Depot also actively supports local charities and non-profits each year. During "Neighborhood Night," Home Depot will announce the donation of $60,000 to the Engine 55 Firehouse for a new kitchen, $15,000 to Gateway Green, $5,000 to the New City YMCA and $5,000 to the Cubs Care Foundation. The store will also donate materials and volunteer time to projects with
Rebuilding Chicago and the Hull House. In the years that follow, Home Depot will set aside funds every year for donations to local charities.
To attend Neighborhood Night, please RSVP to Katie Feltz at (312) 263-2500. Enjoy prizes and giveaways, free food and drink, valet parking and more. Don't forget to review the store calendar for celebrity appearances and free clinics for April and May!
