Kickball is making a comeback, and the Chicago Park District is offering a new league for 5-8-year-olds. Games will be played on Mondays and Wednesdays, from Aug. 4 to 20, at Wrightwood, Jonquil and Trebes Parks in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The cost is $35. Registration begins Wednesday, July 9, at 6 p.m. at Adams Park, 1919 N. Seminary Ave. For more information, call the Kickball Hotline at (312) 742-7787. Coaches are needed.
Believe it or not, summer is the time to think about fall sports and recreation programs. On Monday, Aug. 11, at 9 a.m., the Chicago Park District will begin accepting registration for fall programs online at www.chicagoparkdistrict.com. In-person fall registration will begin Saturday, Aug. 16, at 9 a.m.
