Be sure to drop your anchor at Z's Fish and Shrimp, the hot seafood spot located at 2273 N. Lincoln Ave., open for lunch and dinner. Your appetite will definitely be satisfied with Z's huge menu. The fried entrées range from large and jumbo shrimp to tilapia, catfish, scallops and more, and come with fries, cole slaw, bread and two sauces. Cooked in 100 percent pure, light vegetable oil, the food retains its natural flavors and taste and is healthy.
Grilled salmon, tilapia, tuna, jumbo shrimp (on the skewer), catfish, and scallops are also offered. You can request your order to be charbroiled plain, blackened, glazed with teriyaki, honey Dijon, or lemon pepper, or spiced up with Cajun hot sauce. Each entrée is flaky and moist. Each grilled order comes with rice, one side, and a small soup or any dessert.
Sides run the gamut from fries, cheese fries, fried okra, hushpuppies, onion rings, mushrooms, corn on the cob, steamed veggies, spaghetti, and the all-American favorite, mac and cheese.
Z's offers "In The Bag!" where you can order catfish, scallops, shrimp and fish chips in 1/4, 1/2 and 1 pound bags! Eat 'em as you go! Z's also offers perch, catfish and cod sandwiches.
If you still have room, desserts include banana or Oreo pudding and coconut or chocolate cake.
