Ald. Vi Daley (43rd) and Children's Memorial Hospital are gearing up for the 43rd Ward Summer Safety Fest, Saturday, June 28, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Lincoln Park High School, 2001 N. Orchard St. The event is free.
Mayor Daley's Bicycle Ambassadors will be fitting bike helmets and the first 100 children will receive free bike helmets. It also will feature live entertainment by Radio Disney, Old Town School of Music and the Emerald City "Green Eggs and Ham" characters. There will be free food and games for the children to play. A child's bicycle, which was donated by Village Cycle, will be raffled off at the end of the event.
