Home Depot offers chance to qualify in $1 M 'screw-off'
Head to Home Depot, 1232 W. North Ave., from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday, July 15, to test your prowess driving screws with a cordless drill—those who qualify will compete in a regional contest and then a final contest, with the winner taking home one million dollars.
The challenge is to drive five screws into a piece of wood as fast as you can with a DeWalt cordless drill. To complete the challenge, contestants must pick up the drill, start the timer, drive the screws, and then stop the timer as quickly as they can. Last year's winner sank five screws in 6.77 seconds.
