Screenwriting Extravaganza July 15

On Sunday, July 20, The Screenwriters Group (SWG) will host the 2003 Screenwriting Extravaganza, an event for Midwest professional and amateur screenwriters looking to network and develop their skills. From 11 a.m. to
5 p.m., the doors to The Screenwriters Group's Chicago home at 1803 W. Byron St. will be open to the public for seminars on topics ranging from Creating Great Characters to Screenwriting as a Career.
The Screenwriters Group is a team of professional instructors who will lead participants through the craft of scripting their stories for the screen.
"The Screenwriters Group got me from an idea, to a script, to a sale. The company that bought my script was so impressed, they hired me to write another," said Alan Anderson, screenwriter of "Thin Ice" and "Souled Out" and SWG instructor.
Attendees may schedule individual story consultations with experts at the Extravaganza.
"The Screenwriters Group has set a stellar example of preparing individuals for a successful career in the entertainment industry," says ABC-Talent Development Programs.
Screenwriting Extravaganza 2003 seating is limited. Admission is free if registered before July 15. Admission is $10 after July 15 and at the door. For reservations or more information call (773) 665-8500.
