Milan appointed to review porch tragedy
Cook County State's Attorney Richard A. Devine has assigned First Assistant State's Attorney Robert Milan to review the evidence in the June 28 porch collapse. The collapse of the porch at 713 W. Wrightwood Ave. killed 13 people. Police are conducting a death investigation.
As the former supervisor of Felony Review, Milan examined the evidence and conducted numerous interviews after the death of Michael Chambers in the summer of 2000. Three men were ultimately charged in that death.
