The Family Medical Network, Saint Joseph Hospital's physician hospital organization, is one of only 12 medical groups in Illinois to earn a four-star rating from BlueCross and BlueShield of Illinois. In rating its HMO Illinois and BlueAdvantage (SM) HMO medical groups, BlueCross and BlueShield recognized the Family Medical Network for its performance on nationally based clinical practice and preventive care guidelines.

The Family Medical Network received four stars for providing pap smears, flu shots, asthma action plans and diabetes care to a certain percentage of its patients based on recommended guidelines.
