Free lecture to address fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome

Do you suffer from fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome symptoms such as headaches, numbness, tingling and bowel and bladder disturbances? Did you know these symptoms are also typical of cervical myelopathy, a neurological disorder originating within the upper spinal cord? Saint Joseph Hospital is offering a free lecture, "Can Surgery Help Fibromyalgia," from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, in the Boikan Conference Center (second floor) of Saint Joseph Hospital, 2900 N. Lake Shore Dr., to help answer those questions. Join nationally recognized neurosurgeon Dan Heffez, M.D., as he discusses myelopathy and a procedure to alleviate its symptoms. Registration is required; call 877-RES-INFO (737-4636) to register.
