Join the Suzanne's Friends for Life Chapter of the Evanston-based Leukemia Research Foundation (LRF) for its annual Fun-Raiser on the Odyssey Cruise Line, the largest fine dining cruise ship on the Great Lakes. Guests will enjoy one of the finest views of Chicago, including fireworks, in an elegant atmosphere punctuated with exquisite cuisine and live entertainment on each deck.
The event takes place in memory of Suzanne Dreebin Wilensky, who married Steve and gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Emily, in 1995. Six months later, Suzanne was diagnosed with leukemia. Despite a painful but valiant effort, she succumbed to this horrible disease just a few months later, the day before Mother's Day.
Suzanne's Friends for Life 2003 "Fun-Raiser" will be held on the Odyssey Cruise Ship at Navy Pier, Saturday, Sept. 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. The ticket price of $125 includes food, drink, entertainment, boarding photograph, raffle and silent auction.
The funds raised will go to the Leukemia Research Foundation (LRF) which supports leukemia research worldwide and patient assistance. LRF's mission is to conquer leukemia, lymphoma, and myelodysplastic syndromes by funding research into their causes and cures, and to enrich the quality of life of those touched by these diseases.
