Poetry, humor, fantasy at Twilight Tales

Local authors read their works in the genres of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, horror, humor, romance, western, and thriller, every Monday night upstairs at the Red Lion Restaurant & Pub, 2446 N. Lincoln Ave., across the street from the Biograph Theater. The reading starts at 7:30 p.m., and a donation of $4 is requested. The event is held outside on the patio as weather permits.
On Aug. 11, hear poetry by Jackie Lalley and Ramona Ciupag. On Aug. 18, there is a Juried Open Mic: Humor! Judges will include Jody Lynn Nye and Whitney Scott. On Aug. 25, listen to David Munger: "Incidents and Accidents" ("short, dark fantasy from a medium man"); and Jay Bonansinga: "Stash" ("Fasten your seatbelts for the weirdest, strangest, grossest ride Jay Bonansinga has ever taken you on!")
