Wall of Respect
Rosehill Cemetery, Bryn Mawr and Western avenues, hosted the Viet Nam Memorial Wall. 58,175 names of fallen soldiers are inscribed in black granite. 2,930 are from Illinois. Rosehill was open 24 hours a day from Aug. 8 through 10 to accommodate visitors who paid tribute to Americans who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
