Café Society is a weekly discussion that covers issues of social and political relevance in several neighborhoods, discussing everything from the political significance of shopping to the Israeli/Palestinian roadmap to peace. This week the discussion will evaluate the importance of dialogue and dissent in the age of Patriot II. Discussions are free, facilitated, and open to all. Among the locations in Chicago and Oak Park are: Tuesdays from 7-8 p.m. at Intelligentsia Coffee (3123 N. Broadway); Wednesdays from 7-8 p.m. at Café Boost (5400 N. Clark St.); and Thursdays from 7-8 p.m. at Café De Luca (1721 N. Damen Ave). |
