A used book sale and coffeehouse will be held on Friday, Oct. 10, from 6 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Berry Memorial United Methodist Church, 4754 N. Leavitt St.
Stock up for winter reading. Thousands of books will be available, including science fiction, romance, cookbooks, mysteries, popular fiction, history, children's books, etc. Most books will sell for $1.50 or less.
In the coffeehouse, enjoy baked goods, coffee, tea, music and conversation. Chicago area writers will read excerpts from their work.
The church welcomes donations of books in good condition. However, they cannot accept magazines, textbooks, or encyclopedias.
