Chicago's semi-annual clean-up is coming Saturday, Oct. 25, and local residents can get the tools they need from Mayor Daley's Clean & Green program. Now in its 15th year, Clean & Green loans brooms, rakes and trash bags to block clubs and other community organizations to sweep up accumulated litter and trash. You also can get free paint for covering over graffiti from the "Give Graffiti the Brush" program or supplies to repaint street light poles. For more info, contact the City at 311. |
