vConcertante di Chicago Chamber Orchestra presents a festival of classical music from Mexico, featuring world-renowned harpist Angel Padilla Crespo from Mexico City, on Sunday, March 14, at 3 p.m. at 800 W. Belden Ave. (DePaul Concert Hall). Conducted by Hilel Kagan, Concertante di Chicago celebrates the pride, spirit and beauty of music from Mexican composers including works by Haffter, Angulo, Ponce and Revueltas.
The orchestra, in its 19th successful season, is a critically acclaimed ensemble of about 50 members, composed of members of the Lyric Opera Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
