Ravenswood Manor youth named Eagle Scout

Jacob E. Peters, 16, received the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America—Eagle Scout—in a ceremony on Saturday, March 6, at Queen of Angels Church.
A junior at Von Steuben Metro Sciences High School, Peters currently serves as Senior Patrol Leader for Troop 894. His Eagle Scout service project was the planning and construction of a wildflower garden in Ravenswood Manor Park, which he did in cooperation with the Horner Park Advisory Council.
His other Scout-related activities have included the National Jamboree in Camp Hill, VA, the Manistee Quest in northern Michigan, and the Philmont Scout Reservation in New Mexico.
Jake is the fifth member of his family to earn the rank of Eagle. He was joined at the event by his cousin from Memphis, TN, his father, and two uncles—from Tucson, AZ, and Madison, WI.
