Roscoe Village Neighbors invites all residents of the village to attend a very important meeting Thursday, March 18, at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of Audubon Elementary School, 3500 N. Hoyne Ave. (Please enter through the Hamilton Ave. entrance.) The topic is the proposed re-zoning and development of 1825 W. Newport Ave.
Jim Stellas of the J.P. Stellas Company, 561 W. Diversey Ave., is the developer proposing to purchase the property at 1825 W. Newport Ave. He has been invited to present his case for requesting a change in zoning from M1-2 (manufacturing) to R-5 (residential). The developer seeks the change so that he may convert and build onto this dress factory in order to create a 14-unit, all-residential structure.
