Police-Teen Link presents 'US or THEM' at Live Bait

"They don't understand. It feels like it's us or them. We hate that feeling," says Police Sergeant Stacy Kraft. See a rough-edged collaborative performance based on the improvisations, writings, and interviews of members of Live Bait Theater's Police-Teen Link ensemble, adapted by Sharon Evans and directed by Ann Filmer, and featuring members of the Police-Teen Link Program as well as professional Chicago actors.
Neighborhoods. Nicknames. Jokes. Jobs. Laws. Lies. Guns. Gangs. Beatings. Bureaucracies. Nights. Nightmares. Deaths. Dreams.
"US or THEM" is a gritty investigation into two very misunderstood groups—Cops and Teens. Police-Teen Link is a program that continues to link police officers and local teens through theater. The five-year old program provides a unique mentoring service with police officers and teens and could mark an advance in addressing teen-crime issues.
Live Bait Theater is located at 3914 N. Clark St.. Street parking is generally available.
