Cinco de Mayo kicks off a busy month at The Chopping Block with two ways to celebrate. The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta, held at the 4747 N. Lincoln Ave. location, is an evening of authentic Mexican food and drink, cooking classes and a fun fiesta. At the 1324 W. Webster Ave. location, students can take a class on authentic Mexican dishes to make at home for their own Cinco de Mayo celebration.
Mother's Day is a special occasion every year at The Chopping Block, and this year the cooking school and retail store will add a champagne brunch to their class lineup. An unique way to celebrate, the event features a cooking class, a full meal and a toast to mom.
A special fundraiser will be held at The Chopping Block to raise money for Tibetan Monks. A reception will be held before the monks take to the stoves to demonstrate dishes from their homeland. A once-in-a-lifetime event, the fundraiser will raise funds for the Monks' besieged monasteries.
