Mickey Mouse moves to State Street
Mickey Mouse is on the move. United Van Lines will transport 15 Mickey Mouse statues—each 6' and 700 lb.— to State Street on May 22 as part of The Walt Disney Company's "Celebrate Mickey: 75 InspEARations" nationwide statue tour. The Mickey statues, designed by Disney legends, artists, athletes and actors, reflect each designer's personal interpretation of Mickey Mouse.
The "Celebrate Mickey: 75 InspEARations" statue tour began at Disney World, and will go to 14 U.S. cities, including the Disneyland Resort. The nationwide tour culminates in a charity auction in New York, with proceeds from the sale of each statue benefiting the charity of each individual artist's choice. The statues will be on display at State Street through July.
