CPD opens Art in the Garden Project: 24 Gardens on display June 15 - Oct. 31

The Chicago Park District is opening 24 artistic gardens in Douglas, Grant, Lincoln, Washington and Washington Square parks to the public on June 15. The project, called Art in the Garden, is free and open through Oct. 31.
Artists are using plants, sculptures and a variety of creative elements to design gardens in the annual gardens of the chosen parks.
The 26-mile stretch of Chicago's boulevard system, sometimes referred to as the city's "Emerald Necklace," will form the core of Art in the Garden by using gardens to unite major parks and diverse neighborhoods of Chicago.
There are three gardens in Douglas Park, 13 gardens in Grant Park, five gardens in Lincoln Park, two gardens in Washington Park and one garden in Washington Square Park.
The locations are: Douglas Park, 1401 S. Sacramento Ave.; Grant Park, 331 E. Randolph St.; Lincoln Park, 2045 N. Lincoln Park West; Washington Park, 5531 S. Martin Luther King Drive; Washington Square Park, 901 N. Clark St. Parks are open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
