Raising $20,000 plus to support cancer research

The event, which took place June 19 and 20 in the 4800 block of N. Ravenswood Ave., raised over $20,000 for the American Cancer Society. Eleven teams participated: Rowder's Moon over Relay, Newark B, Cynthia's Wheeler Lifesavers, the Greater Rockwell Organization, Duncan's Mom, Newark En Vogue, Team Borelli, Moran Family, Pfaff-Garner, and the Au Pair Family. Sponsors were Ald. Gene Schulter (47th), Newark Inone Electronic, Barton, Inc., Kindred Hospitals of Chicago, the Big Borelli Group, Brak Realty, the Community Bank of Ravenswood, GreatBank of Lincoln Square, and the Pfaff-Garner-Adinamis Funeral Home. |
