Be an artist without starving, for one night, when you visit Lillstreet Art Center, 4401 N. Ravenswood Ave. (at Montrose Ave.), for the Learning Center’s second annual Art-A-Thon fundraiser 5-10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17.
Bring your family and friends for an all night art party. Create a work of art in an instant at the popular drop in workshops. Make a coffee mug with clay, print an original T-shirt or create a unique piece of jewelry that you can take home. In between, visit the food and beverage bar, enjoy live entertainment and dance to spinning by DJ Omar Vera. Your $5 donation and $5 and $10 activity fee will benefit Lillstreet Learning Center’s outreach program to communities in need. For more information, call (773) 769-4226.
Founded in 1975, Lillstreet Art Center prides itself on being a lively community of artists working in a noncompetitive environment which encourages and inspires artistic growth in the individual.
