With the establishment of the 100th mile of bike lanes in Chicago, City officials are reminding motorists that parking and driving in bike lanes is illegal. Beginning Nov. 1, a special Chicago Department of Revenue parking enforcement aide started issuing $100 tickets to motorists parked in bike lanes. Vehicles parked in bike lanes may also be towed.
