Pastoral Artisan Cheese, Bread & Wine shop will celebrate its first holiday shopping season by joining fellow East Lakeview merchants in a series of pre-Christmas events on the next two Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 11-12 and Dec. 18-19. The shop, located at 2945 N. Broadway, opened in August.
Holiday shoppers will be treated to the sights and sounds of a Christmas past with strolling carolers, free mulled cider and shopping discounts among festively decorated storefronts and sidewalks. A sidewalk gift wrapping station benefiting a local charity will be available for gifts purchased from the Broadway retailers or for other gifts needing a festive wrap.
The weekend activities are sponsored by neighborhood businesses on Broadway who are members of the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce.
Holiday street celebration hours on both weekends are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
Among Pastoral's holiday gift-giving ideas are holiday gift boxes starting at $49.99. Another unique gift for that special someone are classes on cheeses, wines and wine & cheese pairings. Gift certificates also are available.
In addition, Pastoral can prepare specialty holiday food trays for home or away-from-home parties.
