The Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) and the Streeterville Chamber of Commerce are staging a festive evening at the theater on Tuesday, Oct 26. A cocktail reception at 6 p.m., followed by "The Merry Wives of Windsor" at 7:30 p.m., will be presented in the CST's Courtyard Theater on Navy Pier.
The play takes place in the provincial community of Windsor, where the upstanding citizens live everyday lives—until Sir John Falstaff blows into town. As short on scruples as he is on cash, Falstaff sets out to woo two very respectable, very married, Windsor women. But the Windsor Wives have minds, and plans, of their own.
Tickets are $60. Streeterville Chamber of Commerce member admission is $50. All major credit cards as well as checks are accepted. Reserve a ticket on line at streetervillechamber.org/events.
