20/30 Club hosting Casino Swing black-tie gala

Don't miss 20/30 Club’s Casino Swing black-tie gala on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 8 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at Union Station in downtown Chicago. Each year up to 1,500 of Chicago’s young professionals gather together to raise money to benefit Chicago area children’s organizations. This popular event has sold out in the past and is one of the best-known black-tie events in the city.
The 20/30 Club is an organization comprised of male professionals in their 20s and 30s, dedicated to developing long-term relationships with local children’s organizations through fundraising and volunteerism.
Casino Swing will feature casino style gambling, cocktails, great food, live music by Rich Daniels Trio and The Business, and much more. Tickets are $95 (patron) /$125 (VIP High Roller) per person in advance, and $125 (patron)/$150 (VIP High Roller) at the door. For tickets, call (866) 462-2838, or visit 2030club.org.
Proceeds of the event support Chicago’s Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, One Step at a Time, Horizons for Youth, and Cristo Rey High School. A silent auction and raffle also will be featured at the event. To register online, go to 2030club.org. Chicago’s Union Station has official Chicago Landmark status and is located at 210 S. Canal St.
The 20/30 Club of Chicago was founded in 1991 by 12 young male professionals with the goal of making a positive change in the lives of Chicago-area youth. Today, over 60 members are actively involved with 10 children’s charities and support approximately 20 volunteer-related projects per month. Each member typically donates more than 2,000 hours of his time; the group raises more than $100,000 in support each year. In addition to tutoring, mentoring, and visiting the pediatric floor of select hospitals, the 20/30 Club also initiated the Hoops-to-Homework program (where children participate in a nine-week long basketball tournament if they agree to participate in a tutoring program).
The 20/30 Club Casino Swing and other fundraising events held throughout the year have raised almost $1 million in proceeds for children’s organizations in Chicago over the last 13 years. By continuing these fundraising efforts, the 20/30 Club will continue to play an integral role in the lives of area children.
