The Callisto Ensemble presents the third concert of its 2004-2005 Season on Sunday, Jan. 9, 8 p.m. at DePaul University’s Concert Hall, and on Monday Jan. 10, 8 p.m. at Roosevelt University’s Rudolph Ganz Memorial Hall.
Works to be performed include the world premiere of Augusta Read Thomas’ Prairie Sketches I "Diamonds on Orchid velvet," Betty Olivero’s "Bashrav," Takemitsu’s "Rain Spell" and Ravel’s "Introduction and Allegro."
The Callisto Ensemble is comprised of Stefan Hersh and Robert Waters, violin; Stephan Balderston and Julian Hersh, cello; and resident conductor Cliff Colnot.
