Suresh Amble, M.D., Section Chief, Interventional Radiology, Saint Joseph Hospital, recently received re-certification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology from the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Amble is one of only a few doctors in the Chicagoland area to perform vertebroplasty and uterine fibroid embolization. Vertebroplasty is a minimally invasive non-surgical procedure used to treat vertebral compression fractures caused by a progressive weakening of the bone, or osteoporosis. Uterine fibroid embolization is a non-surgical minimally invasive alternative to hysterectomy treatment.
