Immaculate Heart of Mary School will celebrate Catholic Schools Week with its annual school open house on Sunday, Jan. 30. The open house will begin after the 9 a.m. Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and will run until noon. This free event is open to the public and will take place at 3820 N. Spaulding Ave.
"The open house provides us the opportunity to showcase the terrific work of the students and teachers at IHM," said Sister Kathleen Stafford, Principal at IHM. All IHM students, from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, are required to complete a project for the School's Annual Academic Fair held during Catholic Schools Week. Students select the academic area (Math, Reading, Science, Social Studies, Language or Religion) and topic they wish to focus on with their projects. All projects will be on display during the open house.
"Everyone from the community is invited to attend the open house and experience first-hand our exquisite little school," continued Sister Kathleen. "We are very proud of our students and teachers, the accomplishments they make each year, and the entire IHM community."
Open house attendees are welcome to visit various classrooms, from grades pre-K through eighth grade, as well as the computer lab and school library, and enjoy a wide variety of ethnic food provided by the students and families of IHM. Information on IHM and registration materials will also be available at the open house. For more information call (773) 478-6554. Visit ihmschool.com. |
