Classes at Saint Joseph Hospital

Saint Joseph Hospital is offering a class, Baby and Me, for big brothers/big sisters-to-be to express their feelings about welcoming a new baby into the family and to learn ways to help with baby's care. The class will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturdays, Feb. 19 and March 19, in the Fourth Floor Conference Room of Saint Joseph Hospital, 2900 N. Lake Shore Dr. A tour of the Family Birthplace is included. There is a $5 fee per family and space is limited. Registration is required; call 877-RES-INFO (877-737-4636).
A Newborn Care class is being offered from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 22 and March 29, in the Boikan Conference Center of Saint Joseph Hospital, 2900 N. Lake Shore Dr. The class examines the care and needs of newborns and provides moms and their partners with important knowledge for the first months of parenthood. The class is highly recommended for new parents and is also an excellent class for grandparents, nannies and other caregivers. There is a $15 fee and space is limited. Nearly 30 percent of Americans suffer from sinusitis during their lifetime and more than 37 million Americans suffer from at least one episode of acute sinusitis each year. Saint Joseph Hospital is offering a free lecture, New Advances in Treating Sinusitis, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, in the Boikan Conference Center of the hospital, 2900 N. Lake Shore Dr. Jordan Pritikin, M.D, Section Chief, Otolaryngology, will discuss the latest advances in treating sinusitis. Registration is required; call 877-RES-INFO (877-737-4636) to register.
