Porchlight Music Theatre continues its 10th anniversary season with Richard Maltby and Davis Shire’s romantic musical revue “Closer Than Ever”—an intimate insightful tale about love, security and happiness—at Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 W. Belmont Ave., through March 13. The production is directed by TimeLine Theatre’s Nick Bowling, with musical direction by Eugene Dizon.
“Closer than Ever” features three men and two women performing 22 funny, wise and witty “songs of experience.” The cast includes Rebecca Finnegan, following her critically- acclaimed performances as Mrs. Lovett in Porchlight’s "Sweeney Todd"; Nicholas Foster, recently seen in "Parade" at Bailiwick and Ragtime for Light Opera Works; and Rob Lindley of the cabaret trio “Foiled Again” and the Improv Olympic’s “Baby Wants Candy.”
