Six Gordon Tech students have been named 2005 State Scholars by the Illinois Students Assistance Commission (ISAC) for their outstanding academic achievement.
The Illinois State Scholars at Gordon Tech were announced by Dr. William Watts, Principal, on WKGT, Gordon Tech's own television station. They include Krystof Slomiany, Mark A. Clark, Daniel J. Lopiccolo, James M. Davisson, Daniel E. Ryerson, and Eric M. Bednarowicz.
"These students should be very proud of their accomplishments," said Larry E. Mateja, ISAC Executive Director. "The Commission congratulates them and wishes them well as they continue their education."
State Scholars are selected from students ranking in the top 10 percent of the state's graduating seniors. The selection is also based on SAT and/or ACT test scores and class rank at the end of junior year.
"We are proud of Gordon Tech's Illinois State Scholars," said Dr. Watts. "Our excellent teaching staff and our rigorous and challenging academic programs bring out the best in all our students. We salute these students on this most-deserved recognition." |
