Community Memorial Service

Lake View Funeral Home will offer the 15th annual Community Memorial Service on Saturday, Dec. 11, at 11 a.m. This free memorial service, for everyone in the community who wishes to attend, honors the 15th anniversary of the Grief Recovery Support Program at Lake View Funeral Home. This program provides support to assist people in moving beyond their loss. The Grief Recovery Support Group provides a safe and loving atmosphere for those who grieve.
Here are a few of the comments offered to Yolanda Ericson and Kris Hallowell, the support group facilitators: "You have let me say what I need to say, and I don't get judged." "I now realize my grief is normal and I'm not going crazy." "The lump in my chest is finally gone, and I thank you for that."
The support group meetings are held at Lake View Funeral Home, 1458 W. Belmont Ave., lower level, on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month from 7 to 9 p.m. The next session begins Dec. 13 and continues through May 23, 2005. The Memorial Service and Support Group Meetings are part of the Bereavement Support Program called Living Through Grief, which represents the ongoing concern by Lake View Funeral Home for the families they serve and for the community.
