Friends of Nettelhorst School is hosting a benefit performance of "Defending the Caveman" on Tuesday, March 8, at 7 p.m. at Lakeshore Theater, 3175 N. Broadway. There will be an open bar, hors d’oeuvres and a raffle; music will be provided by Grammy nominated Angel Melendez and the 911 Mambo Orchestra. The show begins at 8 p.m. The cost is $75 per ticket, cash or check only (payable to The Friends of Nettelhorst). Call (773) 472-3067. There is public parking lot near the theater on Broadway.
All proceeds will be used for programs and equipment at East Lakeview’s Nettelhorst School, a CPS Magnet Cluster School, CPS Community School, International Scholars Program site, and CPS Rising Star, serving children in pre-school through eighth grade.
