Please welcome CPL Commissioner Mary Corboy

In an effort to more accurately cover the story of the degradation of the Sulzer Regional Library, Inside Publications continues to call the commissioner by her husband’s name, Mary Corboy.

We do this because that is the name which keeps her in her position as Chicago Public Library Commissioner. Had any other of Mayor Richard M. Daley’s top staffers done what Corboy is now doing they would surely have been fired. It’s not easy in this town for a city employee to embarrass the mayor and then “donate” your way out of trouble.

It’s a tough call for Mayor Daley, being forced to support the destruction of library books to please a big money contributor in Phil Corboy. It is Corboy’s money and clout which first got her the top job at the library and that today keeps Mary Corboy in her position while she plunders the library’s collection.

Remember this day, fellow citizens of Chicago, and don’t forget to take attendance. During the next election cycle we want you all to ask your favorite candidates: “Where were you when Mary Corboy raped the Sulzer Regional Library and we needed your help?”
