Letter to the Editor

To the editor:

Keep up the great work on your coverage of the crisis at Sulzer Library! I’m glad you started asking questions about Mayor Daley’s stance on this issue. I’ve been a resident of Ravenswood for over nine years, I am a high school English teacher, and I use Sulzer almost weekly. It is worth fighting for!

Please do more to publicize the phone number of the Friends of Sulzer, (312) 744-7616. I plan to join this great group. I am also proud of all that Ald. Schulter has been doing. Keep up the great work.

P.S. I have given copies of Inside to the newspaper journalism teacher at the high school where I teach. He has been using some of your articles as excellent examples of investigative journalism.

To the editor:

The terrible events of this past week have made me, a Jew, determined to learn more about the faith of Islam and how someone could interpret this faith in such a way as to bomb innocent people. I would like to read the Koran to find out just what it says. Unfortunately, that is not easy to do as Mary Dempsey Corboy has thrown out an Arabic-English version of the Koran.
