Local author Stacey Ballis launches second chick lit novel

Stacey Ballis is releasing her second novel, "Sleeping Over," published by Red Dress Ink (reddressink.com). Part "Sex and the City," part "Little Women," "Sleeping Over" examines relationships both romantic and platonic (and platonic wanting to be romantic), and looks at the various configurations of what it means to spend the night together. "Sleeping Over," featuring five female thirty-something Chicagoans, will be available starting April 1 at amazon.com and also at bookstores. The 352-page paperback book will retail for $12.95
Two local bookstores will host readings, followed by Q & A and then signings. Each is free and runs about one hour. The first is Tuesday, April 5, 7 p.m., at Barnes and Noble, 1441 W. Webster St. (at Clybourn Ave.). The second is Thursday, April 14, 5 p.m., at Borders, 150 N. State St. (at Randolph St.).
