Memorial Service March 20 for local artist Susan Sculley

A memorial service will be held for Susan Sculley, 50, renowned artist and local resident, who passed away suddenly on Feb. 22 while vacationing in Mexico. Friends and neighbors are invited to attend the service, to be held Sunday, March 20, at 4 p.m. in All Saints Episcopal Church, 4550 N. Hermitage Ave. Rev. Bonnie A. Perry will officiate. A resident of the Ravenswood community since 1997, Susan resided on N. Paulina St. and maintained her artist's studio on N. Ravenswood Ave. Susan was an active participant in Ravenswood Art Walks, tours, and other art related community events.
Susan's art works have been featured in Beautiful Things, and The Artful Home, publications of Guild.com. Susan Sculley worked in both oil sticks and pastels to create works that have the feel of landscapes suffused with light. Her compositions of color and elusive form capture the peace and beauty one experiences when communing with nature. Her work is featured in the collections of Amoco Corporation and Dean Witter. Locally, her works can be viewed during the upcoming Art Show, March 31 through April 30, at Jayson Home & Garden, 1871 N. Clybourn Ave.
