St. Vincent de Paul Center, 2145 N. Halsted St., will host its second annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, April 2. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit more than 425 children of low-income families, plus homeless clients and at-risk seniors that the Center serves every day.
The tournament, sponsored by A. Finkl & Sons Co., will bring teams from around Chicagoland for a single elimination tournament followed by a free after-party to watch the NCAA Final Four at Glascott's Groggery across the street. All participants age 21 and over are invited.
The cost is $10 per player and teams may have up to four players. The tournament is open to men and women, 18 and older. All players will receive free t-shirts and a free one-day pass to the Ray Meyer Fitness and Recreation Center. A refreshments table will be provided by S. Mechanical, Inc. and prizes for winning teams will be provided by Wilson Sporting Goods.
To register your team, or for more information, please contact Joe D'Arco at (312) 943-6776, ext. 2275.
