Broadway In Chicago is currently undertaking a multi-million dollar renovation of the historic theatre at 22 W. Monroe St. The theatre, which first opened in 1906 as the Majestic Theatre, will be inaugurated the LaSalle Bank Theatre this fall. The project will focus on restoring the original beauty of the public areas of the theatre, including an opulent two-story lobby complete with Ionic columns and a light-adorned ceiling treatment which date from the opening of the theatre in 1906. |
