Paulina St., on Thursday, March 31, at 7 p.m. The public is invited to join the gathering and to provide oral or written testimony about whether the quarantines should be lifted.
Ald. Gene Schulter (47th), the Illinois Department of Agriculture Bureau of Environmental Programs, the United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, and the City of Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation's Bureau of Forestry have scheduled a public information meeting regarding the possible deregulation of the Ravenswood Asian Longhorned Beetle quarantine zone. A quarantine zone can be considered for deregulation providing no evidence of Asian Longhorned Beetle infested trees, or of any life stage of the beetle, has been found for at least two years. |
