Sheriff sends radios to Iraq

Cook County Sheriff Michael F. Sheahan (right) and Deputy Parris Williams examine radios prior to shipping them to Iraq. The Sheriff’s Office recently upgraded its radio system and donated 100 old radios to the army for use by the 106th Transportation Battalion. These radios will improve two-way communication among battalion personnel who are often targeted by snipers as they transport supplies into Iraq.
