Lincoln Park High School has received several community grants. Wrightwood Neighbors' Association has made a generous donation for band and orchestra instruments, marching band uniforms, and library computer tables. The Park West Community Association’s annual gift will purchase three stringed instruments and help provide transportation for finalists to the annual history fair competition in Springfield. The Sheffield Neighborhood Association’s donation will provide much-needed help for transportation for the football team and for general use.
In addition, the Oppenheimer Family Foundation’s Teacher Incentive Grant Program has awarded six grants for LPHS student activities: (1) Feed the Hungry, $1,200; (2) Lion’s Pause Literary Magazine, $1,600; (3) Lion’s Roar Student Newspaper, $800; (4) LPHS U-Recycle, $1,800; (5) Mane-Lion Message Board, $1,000; (6) School Spirit and Applied Art Education, $1,800. |
