Cirque Du Salacious: Adult Swim to raise funds for Bailiwick at Circuit Nightclub

On Saturday, April 16, Circuit Night Club, 3641 N. Halsted St., will be the host to a bizarre event — Cirque du Salacious: Adult Swim, a benefit for the diverse programming of the Bailiwick Arts Center.
From 6 to 7 p.m. a special reception will be held for those buying VIP tickets. As they enter the newly remodeled Circuit Nightclub, appetizers and drinks will be available. A sneak preview show at 6:30 p.m. will include a Speedo/swimwear fashion show presented by Universal Gear, and a beach spectacular performed by the cast of Naked Boys Singing.
At 7 p.m., $25 general admission begins, and the beach carnival unfolds with food and drink served amidst a sea of dancers, twirlers, body builders, gymnasts, and swimsuit models. Patrons will stroll through booths and stations that feature body painters, palm readers, a fashion shoot in progress, and a massage table. At 8 p.m., Babes With Blades will take the floor in a demonstration of female fight choreography with a salsa beat.
At 8:30 p.m., it's show time. Choreographers Jamie Horban, Kymberly Kaye Rayee, and Brenda Didier have created works specifically for this event. Performance artist John Peruzzi will perform a number in his pink wetsuit and flippers. Country singers Naomi Ashley and Ben Benedict will provide laughter, and drag artist Joel Woodruff will do his one-man version of "Pirates of the Caribbean."
Tickets for Cirque du Salacious are $25 for general admission, which includes appetizer buffet, the performance, and one complimentary drink coupon.
VIP Tickets are available for $50 and include two drink coupons, reserved seating for the performance, and recognition in the event program. Student rush tickets are available for $15 at 7:30 p.m. at the door. To purchase tickets or get more information, call (773) 883-1090 or visit bailiwick.org.
