To the Editor:
As President of Legacy Mortgage Corp. I'm proud to announce my support of Cabrini Connections and the Tutor/Mentor Connection. This is an ambitious organization that provides inner city youth with personal mentors, coaches and tutors that invest heavily in the lives of under privileged students, enabling them to succeed in the classroom and beyond. In a culture that demands results, this is an organization that rises to the top. Graduates of Cabrini Connections are moving forward through their education and into careers, and people throughout the Chicago region and the world are drawing upon the Tutor/Mentor Connection for help in starting and supporting tutor/mentor programs in hundreds of neighborhoods.
On July 14, Highland Park Country Club will be hosting the 10th Annual Jimmy Biggs Memorial Golf Benefit to raise support for the coming year. I have agreed to chair this event and invite you to join us in helping to raise $75,000 to support the 2005-06 activities of Cabrini Connections and the Tutor/Mentor Connection. I invite you to join me on the Golf Committee, signaling your support for this organization, and your commitment to help us reach this year's financial goal. Just tell me that you would like to be listed as a member of the 2005 golf benefit committee on the web site and on all promotional materials.
I also invite you to join me and Legacy Mortgage Corp. as a sponsor. Tax-deductible sponsorship opportunities include:
Event Sponsor - $5,000 (includes two foursomes; 1st and 18th hole sponsorships); Eagle Sponsor - $2,500 (includes one foursome; 9th and 10th hole sponsorships); Birdie Sponsor - $1,500 (includes one foursome; one hole sponsorship); Dinner Sponsor - $1,000; 19th Hole Sponsor - $1,000; Contest Hole Sponsor - $500; Hole Sponsor - $300.
Our goal for the Golf Benefit is to have 100 sponsors, 100 players, and 100 donations to the Silent Auction. Thus, if any members of your organization are interested in attending the event, the cost is $200/individual or $750/foursome. That price includes unlimited golf range, 18 holes at Highland Park Country Club, lunch and beverages on the course, cocktails afterward, a very nice dinner and a silent auction to follow. It's a fun day and a great way to network and support the work of a great cause.
Names of all members of the Golf Committee as well as sponsor names and web site links are on the cabrinitmcgolf.org Web site. We will continue to add sponsors and build our silent auction list from then until July 14. Please visit the web site and see the list of organizations who sponsored the 2004 Golf Benefit.
If you can commit to being on the Golf Benefit Committee, or being a sponsor for the 2005 benefit, print the form on the Web site and mail in your sponsor registration and payment to Cabrini Connections, Tutor/Mentor Connection, 800 W. Huron, Chicago, Il. 60622, FEIN: 36-3893431.
