Linda Grassi, R.N., B.S., Staff Nurse, Skilled Nursing Unit, has been selected as Saint Joseph Hospital's Someone You Should Know. She is the 10th employee from the hospital to receive this recognition.
"Linda is a team player who not only performs her job, but also goes 'above and beyond' in assisting her patients and co-workers," says Annemarie Ellis Reiser, R.N., B.S.N., Nurse Manager, Skilled Nursing Unit. "She helps with difficult IV insertions; volunteers to work the first admission of her shift as well as extra and odd shifts if needed; and resolves issues quickly. Linda's compassion for her patients does not end when she leaves work — she often visits patients at home to check on their progress."
Linda was nominated by the Skilled Nursing Unit, employees throughout the hospital and the Culture of Excellence Leadership Team because of her commitment to delivering excellent patient care. Patricia Reding, R.N., Team Leader, Central Scheduling, who started her nursing career with Linda over 40 years ago, says, "Linda's being a good nurse today was evident from the beginning of her career. She has always shown compassion and empathy for patients, which makes her stand out. In fact, Linda never gives up until the needs of her patients are met."
