Cubs fans will have a rare opportunity to spend time on a Major League playing field — and raise money for the Lake View Citizens’ Council — when the non-profit community group hosts its annual “Evening at Wrigley Field” on Friday, May 13.
During an on-field cocktail reception from 6 to 7 p.m. (the Cubs away game with the Washington Nationals will be shown on ballpark TV screens), baseball aficionados will have the unique opportunity to kick around the bases, throw a ball or two, and snap pictures inside the landmark stadium.
The reception will be followed by a 7-9 p.m. fundraiser featuring a silent auction, raffle and buffet at the ballpark’s Stadium Club.
VIP tickets to the on-field cocktail reception and post-reception Stadium Club buffet/fundraising event are $75. Tickets to only the Stadium Club’s buffet/fundraiser are $25.
