Sheffield’s Beer & Wine Garden, 3258 N. Sheffield Ave., has donated $5,000 to the American Red Cross in the aftermath of the recent East Coast terrorist attacks. Half of the money—$2,500—was raised from door donations from customers made the weekend following the attacks. This figure was matched dollar-for-dollar by Sheffield’s management.
“Our patrons and we appreciate the efforts of all those who are helping in response to this terrible tragedy,” said Ric Hess, co-owner of Sheffield’s. “Like all Americans, our donation to the Red Cross is the least we can do to assist those in need and to help in the nation’s healing process.”
